Dahua offers a range covering 2-wire residential video intercoms, commercial access control and facial-recognition biometric terminals, with centralised management available via its DSS software.
Hikvision offers facial-recognition terminals combining face recognition, RFID badge and QR code, with identification in under 0.2 seconds and storage capacity of up to 50,000 faces depending on the model.
Sewosy, a French brand specialising in electric locking and access control, offers standalone solutions (keypads and RFID readers) or centralised ones such as KEOLA®, controllable by smartphone via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi with no complex wiring — particularly well suited to residential buildings, professional practices and small commercial premises.
For sites already equipped (or to be equipped) with a Ubiquiti UniFi network, the UniFi Access range offers an attractive alternative: NFC badges, mobile-app unlocking, PoE-connected electric locks, access rights by zone and time slot, all managed from the same interface as your Wi-Fi network and video surveillance.

Vauban Systems, a French software publisher, offers with its Visor software multi-site, multi-workstation supervision managing up to 50,000 users, 840 readers, 1,024 access groups and 128 different time slots, with native video integration, biometrics management, a mobile app and free updates with no annual licence fee.
Vanderbilt offers IP door controllers (1, 2 or 4 doors) compatible with most badge technologies, capable of managing from 100 to over 2,500 users with access rights differentiated by zone and time slot.
Dahua intercoms: from villas to large residential complexes
Small installations (1–2 subscribers) — villas, houses, offices. The Dahua VTO/VTH range allows a simple setup (1 outdoor station for 1 monitor, expandable up to 3 additional monitors), managed from a smartphone app: visitor identification, remote unlocking, and up to 8 associated surveillance cameras per monitor.
Large residential complexes — up to several thousand subscribers. A single Dahua outdoor station can supervise up to 24 network cameras, and the system scales by stacking modules. For the largest deployments, centralised management runs on the DSS Pro platform, which unifies intercom, video, access and alarm on a single supervision tool.
Multiple entrances, barriers, gates and garage doors. These systems integrate with gate and garage door automation, as well as barrier and parking management solutions, to control all vehicle and pedestrian access points on a site from a single interface.
Managing access schedules and working-time tracking
The platforms we install (Vauban Visor in particular, with its 128 configurable time slots) allow access rights to be differentiated by day and time.
These same badge systems can also serve as a basis for working-time tracking (clock-in systems). A point we systematically apply: French data protection rules (CNIL) strictly regulate these uses — schedule monitoring must remain proportionate, employees must be informed and staff representatives consulted, and the use of biometrics for simple time-clocking is prohibited in principle. We therefore favour compliant badge- or code-based solutions over biometric devices for this specific use.

What’s the difference between standalone and centralised access control?
A standalone system (keypad, RFID reader on the door) manages access locally. A centralised system (Vauban, Sewosy KEOLA, Dahua DSS) lets you remotely manage multiple doors, users and schedules from a single interface.
Does the Dahua intercom work for an entire apartment building?
Yes: one outdoor station can serve several dozen units via stackable modules, and larger complexes are supervised via the centralised DSS Pro platform.
Can access control be used to track employees’ working hours?
Yes, with a badge or code, in compliance with CNIL rules. Biometric recognition, however, is not authorised for this use alone.
